Program description

• Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

  Arrival at Hanoi airport. You will be welcomed by our guide and driver who will take you to your hotel in Hanoi.

  Check-in time at the hotel is 2:00 p.m. If you wish, you can also enjoy a 1-hour relaxing massage to relieve travel fatigue for an additional fee of USD 25 per person.

  After a long flight, you will have free time to rest and recharge your batteries. Once refreshed, we will begin our city tour exploring its historic center. First, we will stroll along the magnificent "Lake of the Restored Sword", then we will venture into the lively streets of the Quartier des 36 corporations by pedicab or on foot. An experience full of life and color!

  

  We will then visit Ngoc Son Temple, a shrine built in 1841 which is dedicated to Confucian and Taoist geniuses as well as the national hero Tran Hung Dao. To access the temple, we will cross the famous red bridge "The Huc". A true architectural marvel!

  To end this day full of discoveries, we will have dinner in a local restaurant where you can taste typical dishes of Vietnamese gastronomy. Dinner is included in the package.

• Day 2: Hanoi city tour

  After enjoying your breakfast, your day begins with an unmissable tour of the magnificent city of Hanoi. You will begin your journey by going to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (Please note that the mausoleum is closed on Mondays, Fridays and during the month of November). You can then marvel at the splendor of the Tran Quoc Pagoda and the Quan Thanh Temple.

  

  Continuing your visit, you will discover the Temple of Literature, once known as Vietnam's first university. This place steeped in history and knowledge will transport you to a distant era.

  The afternoon will be devoted to visiting the fascinating ethnology museum. Explore the captivating exhibits that highlight the country's cultural diversity and admire the ethnic treasures within these walls.

  After this cultural immersion, treat yourself to a pleasant stroll through the streets of the old districts of Hanoi. • Day 3: Hanoi - Hoa Binh - Mai Chau

  After a delicious breakfast, you prepare to leave for Hoa Binh. Once arrived, you will be amazed by the beauty of the northern landscapes and will have the opportunity to discover the first Muong villages, notably that of Giang Mô Binh Khanh. The Muong, one of Vietnam's largest ethnic groups, are renowned for their preservation of traditional culture. You will notice that the women proudly wear traditional costume, demonstrating their attachment to their ancestral values.

  

  After enjoying a delicious lunch, you will take the road towards Mai Chau. When you arrive at the end of the day, you will be welcomed in this magnificent valley inhabited by the Thai community, famous for their houses on stilts.   After a delicious breakfast, take the road to Halong Bay. Your day begins with an excursion to the sumptuous Halong Bay, classified as a world natural heritage site by UNESCO. Once you arrive in Halong late in the morning, you will board a junk for an unforgettable cruise through this natural wonder. According to legend, a dragon landed here to quench its thirst and, dazzled by the beauty of the place, decided to stay there forever. This is how the bay was named “bay where the Dragon landed” (Ha Long).

• Day 8: Hue - Danang - Hoian

  In the morning, after a delicious breakfast, we will depart from the beautiful city of Hue towards Danang. On our way, we will make an unforgettable stop at the magnificent Lang Co beach to visit the charming fishing village and admire the picturesque scenes that will present themselves to our eyes. Then, we will continue our route passing through the Col des Nuages, offering spectacular panoramas of the Vietnamese coast.

  

  Once we arrive in Danang, we will visit the remarkable Cham Museum, which houses a fascinating collection of artifacts from Cham culture. Then, we will have the opportunity to discover the superb marble sculpture village, nestled at the foot of the majestic Marble Mountain. The delicate sculptures and incredible artworks demonstrate the talent and expertise of local artisans.

  After this enriching stage, we will take the road towards Hoi An, an ancient town formerly known as Faifo. This historic city is a truly unique gem, bearing witness to the local and foreign cultural influences that have blended there over the centuries. • Day 12: Saigon - Cu Chi Tunnels - Cao Dai Temple

  Early in the morning, we leave for the Cu Chi Tunnels. These tunnels, located 30 km northwest of Saigon, constitute an incredibly complex system. Stretching over nearly 250 km, they connect the northern part of the city to the famous Terminal of the Ho Chi Minh Trail. During the war against the Americans, these underground passages were dug tirelessly, day and night, by the inhabitants and the Vietnamese guerrillas. An impressive feat which testifies to their determination and ingenuity.

  

  After exploring these fascinating tunnels, we take the road towards Tay Ninh. There, we will have the chance to visit the Caodaï Temple, a unique place of its kind. A true symbol of the Caodaist religion in Vietnam, this temple is distinguished by its vibrant colors and remarkable architecture. A cultural experience that will not fail to surprise and amaze you.

• Day 13: Saigon - Ben Tre

  This morning, get ready to discover the wonderful Mekong Delta region, also known as the rice basket of Vietnam. Upon arrival in Ben Tre, start your boat cruise on the Ham Luong River and visit Long Thành Island, going to Mr. Ut Việt's house to taste fruits, honey tea and admire the work of the coconut shell charcoal. Continue your cruise to Mỏ Cày. Make a stop to explore the area and visit a coconut processing workshop. Take a xe Lam (a motorized cart) and stop to visit a local broom-making workshop, then take a sampan ride along the canal before continuing your cruise to a local house to enjoy a delicious composite lunch local specialties. After the meal, take the time to walk around the surrounding area to discover local life.

  

  Pick up the car to go to your Lodge which is located in the Heart of the Mekong Delta.
